There are a lot of e-books and coaching programs teaching you how to make money online today, but the best way to learn something is by actually doing it. I found DevHub as a good place to start for anyone who wants to start an online business but has no experience. You do not have to know how to build a website, you simply have to have an idea and make it come to life. You can sign up for a free account and have a monetized site a few minutes later.
Buiding the website is as easy as clicking and dragging a module onto the page and entering in some keywords. There is an array of pay-per-click ads including local directories, jobs, property listings and cost per click ads. You can also add in affiliate products from Amazon, affiliate codes, sell advertising space on your sites or import your wordpress blog. DevHub takes care of the hosting, you can have unlimited pages, and from there you would just have to buy the domain for your site ($10 per year) from a place like www.GoDaddy.com and build some links.
Not that you will throw up a couple of sites and become the next e-millionaire, but you can set up sites that update automatically and do have potential to make some money.
I went ahead and built 7 sites in 3 days to test out a few niches; snowbirds, bulldogs, fantasy football, directories, home-office supplies, quarter midget racing. Each are monetized and have RSS feeds so that I do not have to update them, just do some promotion. Even if these sites only generated around $10 per month, that’s still $10 of passive income. If you can start making $10 per month, couldn’t you then refine your techniques, promote your sites more or figure out a way to increase it to $100 or $1,000 per month?
Of course, since you are working with a free site, then there are limits to what you can do, and the possibility that one day your site could be deleted. But once you get some actual experience and have found something that works, you can always by your own hosting or design a site from scratch.
I recommend DevHub for people that are new to affiliate marketing in order to get a grasp of what it is all about, and to more experienced marketers that want to test out some ideas. You can get started building your online media network at DevHub.
