DUMPIT!- The opposite of Digg, Reddit, Delicious, Stumbleupon etc, this is a web 2.0 site where people can bookmark articles that they don’t like. Probably costly to set up, but still think this would be a success.
Chickenburger- One time at a bbq, I put a piece of chicken and cheeseburger in a kaiser roll, and it was probably the best thing I have ever tasted. Turkey and ham go together, so why not this? This would be an easy logo to create, and could be a franchise or a new menu item.
MyPartyMix- A website where you can build your own snack mix, such as different types of chips, pretzels, etc. and create the different flavors that you want by adding different seasonings and ingredients. The company would have to have all this on standby for fullfilment and should be able to deliver the snack mix in a personalized bag with a photo of the creator. If there are popular creations they could re-sell them to other people and give the creator some type of royalty, then people could advertise their party mix for sale on their blogs or social media sites. This would be a cool conversation piece at parties making it a natural viral marketing strategy. Everything else is getting customizable, like shirts, cups, news…food is next.
Ninja Socks- Living in Florida, we wear flip-flops most of the year, but sometimes it is cold outside in the morning or at night. Rather than put on shoes, I put on socks with the flip-flops. This would workout better if the socks had an indent for the big toe so that the sandal fit better. I actually submitted this to a website, and they said they had a meeting about it and thought it was a great idea and were ready to get it into production…..they only needed $700 from me (scam).
The Referral Generation started out as a complicated website that was going to cost about $50K to build. It then was a forum, then a product review site, and now it is this blog. That is the funny thing about business ideas, sometimes the business turns out to be something that you originally never thought of. You never really know how your ideas will turn out or where they will lead you, you just have to take ACTION. Do not waste your time trying to convince other people your ideas are good, if you really think they are, just get to work. If you don’t take any action you will never know if you had a winner or not. Maybe this site will eventually come full circle and incorporate the original idea, but if not I am happy with what it has become.
